2016–2026, The Origins of Savoy Cup How it started Ten years ago, Savoy Cup was just an idea — the dream of bringing together dancers, musicians, and swing enthusiasts from all around the world. The ambition? To create an event that would showcase artistic and spectacular competitions, celebrating the dedication and talent of passionate performers. After countless hours of work, research, reflection, and organization, the dream finally became reality. In April 2016, 350 of us came together to experience the very first edition of Savoy Cup. The Journey Over the years, Savoy Cup has grown beyond our wildest dreams, from a small, intimate gathering into a large-scale international event that now welcomes over 1,000 dancers from the four corners of the world. Together, we have shared hundreds of unforgettable moments: breathtaking openings, epic parties, dazzling competitions, and countless emotional experiences. More than a measurable success, Savoy Cup stands as a unique human adventure, fueled by the dedication of our teams, technicians, and the independent and professional artists we defend through every edition. And of course, by you. You, whose presence and passion are the true heart and soul of this festival. Our Values At Savoy Cup, passion is at the core of everything we do. CAMP JITTERBUG 2026
Camp Jitterbug is an annual Jazz & Swing Dance Festival celebrating Black vernacular Jazz and Swing dances. Our mission is to bring together Jazz dance enthusiasts from all over the world to celebrate this art form through workshops, live music, lectures, social dances, competitions, performances and more, featuring top instructors, musicians and lecturers. We are dedicated to providing a vibrant and inclusive space for dancers to connect, learn, and share their passion for dance. 2026 marks the 100 year anniversary of the Savoy Ballroom. We are honored to celebrate this momentous and historical anniversary with Savoy Ballroom Legends Sugar Sullivan and Barbara Billups. The wonderful Chester Whitmore will help lead the celebration featuring Savoy Ballroom inspired classes, performances, lectures and live music. The festivities will take place during Camp Jitterbug and specifically on Sunday, May 24th. Stay tuned for more details to come!
